Before COVID Hongkong had a social contract with its expats - freedom to travel, and connectivity to the world. Phuket and Thailand were close. India was a hop-skip and a jump away, as was Japan. But nothing was far. Connectivity was wonderful.
A Day flight from HK to Delhi takes an East to West track, flying parallel to the entire Himalayas. For three hours one gets a view on the right hand side of the plane of the most spectacular mountain ranges in the world - the Himalayas. The show starts with this: the Sleeping Buddha -from parts of India, the Kanchenjunga and its nearby peaks look like the head, the tummy and the feet of the enlightened one.
